What should I expect on my first physiotherapy appointment?

Initially, we will discuss your condition and I will take a brief medical history. Please bring details of any medication you are currently taking.Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the area being assessed and treated.

Do you offer home visits?

Yes. If you are unable to get to the clinic, I offer home visits in Radyr and Morganstown and the surrounding area.Please contact me with your requirements if you would like to discuss.

Can I claim treatment through my health insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes, I am a listed physiotherapist under various insurance companies including BUPA and AXA. I have a provider number for BUPA and AXA which I can give on request.Please contact your insurance company to discuss. Sometimes they require you to have an online assessment before authorising face-to-face physiotherapy. In such cases, you will need an authorisation number before our appointment.I am able to provide a receipt and provide proof that I am a chartered and registered physiotherapist for insurance claims.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Please contact me to cancel/reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment.If you would like to cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, a late cancellation fee will be charged. This is 50% of your session fee.Failure to show up without any notice will incur a 100% charge of the session fee. Private medical insurance companies do not pay for cancelled appointments meaning you are personally responsible for the fee. Please contact me if you have a genuine medical emergency or sudden illness and I can waive the fee.

Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, there are stairs leading up to the front door and therefore it is not suitable for wheelchair users. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this.
